## Short answer

Very few say yes in writing. ### US analyst postings by seniority

| Seniority | Postings | Say they sponsor | Say they will not | Say nothing |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Entry Level | 842 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |

| Senior | 388 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |
| Lead / Staff | 676 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |
| Not Specified | 2,089 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |

Seniority is the board's level tag, read from the title and the posting. Not Specified means the posting gives no clear level.

### Analyst postings by country

| Country | Postings | Say they sponsor | Say they will not | Say nothing |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| United States | 5,787 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |
| India | 2,459 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |
| United Kingdom | 783 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |

| Singapore | 298 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |
| Mexico | 284 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |
| Philippines | 261 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |
| Germany | 245 | 0.0% | 0.0% | 100.0% |

Countries with at least 200 live postings. Outside the US, sponsorship language is rarer and often uses other words (for example a Skilled Worker visa in the UK), so silent is larger there.

### US companies whose analyst postings say they sponsor

| Company | Postings that say yes | Live US analyst postings |
| --- | --- | --- |

The 0 companies with the most yes postings, of 0 in all.

## Silence is the norm, and it is not a no

5,787 (100.0%) US analyst postings say nothing about sponsorship that we can read with confidence. Of those silent postings, 2,113 (37%) are at employers with approved H-1B workers on the [USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub](https://www.uscis.gov/tools/reports-and-studies/h-1b-employer-data-hub) record, any occupation.

0 companies have at least one US analyst posting that rules sponsorship out, and 0 have at least one that says yes.

## How this compares with the 2.6% figure

The figure most often quoted is 2.6% of postings offering visa sponsorship, from [Handshake data reported by CNBC Make It](https://www.cnbc.com/2026/05/24/for-international-students-seeking-us-jobs-the-american-dream-is-collapsing.html) (24 May 2026). The article publishes no definition, sample size or method, so treat it as unverified. It covers full-time job postings on Handshake, an early-career platform, across all occupations in 2026 (down from 10.9% in 2023, per the same article). Ours is narrower and different in kind: US analyst postings only, read from employers' own careers sites, classified from what each posting's text says on 7 November 2026. The two numbers measure different populations and are not a trend.

## What it means for job seekers

- Do not skip a posting because it is silent on sponsorship. Look up the employer's past H-1B approvals first; the board shows that record beside each US role.
- Skip postings that rule sponsorship out in writing, and apply first where a posting says yes.
- Some US roles need citizenship or a security clearance. Those postings are counted as will not sponsor here, so read the requirement itself.
- Outside the US, read the posting for the local visa name (for example a Skilled Worker visa in the UK) and check the official sponsor register where one exists.

## Method

- Sample: every live posting on realanalystjobs.com on 7 November 2026, read from employers' own careers sites. Reposting sites (Jobgether and Weekday, 199 postings) and employer-posted listings (4) are left out. US means the location resolves to the United States: 5,787 postings.
- Classifier: only sentences that mention sponsorship together with a visa, H-1B, immigration or work authorization term are read. A no statement (will not sponsor, must be authorized to work without sponsorship now or in the future, citizenship or clearance required) beats any yes. A yes needs an explicit statement (will sponsor, sponsorship available, will consider sponsoring, visa support offered). An offer limited to one level counts as says nothing for a title at that level and as will not for any other title. Anything unclear counts as says nothing.
- The classifier was written from a hand-checked study of 1,128 US analyst postings on 7 October 2026 and is tested on fixture sentences by the board's own check (npm run visa:check).
- Postings whose description could not be read count as says nothing, so says nothing is an upper bound and the yes and no shares are floors.
- H-1B record: the employer has at least one approved H-1B petition in FY2023 to FY2026 on the USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub, matched to the board's company names on 17 October 2026. It covers every occupation, not only analysts. A company added to the board after that day has no row yet, so the H-1B record share is a floor.
- Every number is recomputed from the live board each time the page loads; the JSON download carries the same numbers.

## Limitations

- It measures what postings say, not what employers do. A silent posting may still sponsor, and a yes is not a guarantee for every candidate.
- One day's live postings on one board. It is a snapshot, not a trend.
- Pattern classification can miss unusual wording. The design accepts a missed yes over a false yes.
- The board reads a large set of company careers sites, but not every US employer.

## What this data cannot tell you

- Share of employers that actually sponsor for these roles: A posting's words are not a hiring decision. The closest public evidence is past filings: the USCIS H-1B Employer Data Hub (approvals) and DOL LCA disclosure data (filings with wages), both shown on the board's company pages.
- Change over time: Closed postings are not archived, so there is no earlier population to compare with. The 7 October 2026 hand-checked study is a separate, smaller sample and not a baseline for a trend.

## Frequently asked

### What percentage of US analyst jobs sponsor visas?

In writing, very few: 0.0% of 5,787 US analyst postings on realanalystjobs.com on 7 November 2026 say they sponsor or will consider it, and 0.0% say they will not. The rest say nothing, which is not the same as no.

### Is this the same as the 2.6% of job postings that offer sponsorship?

No. The 2.6% figure comes from Handshake data reported by CNBC Make It and covers full-time job postings on Handshake, an early-career platform, across all occupations in 2026 (down from 10.9% in 2023, per the same article); its method is not published. Ours counts only US analyst postings read from employers' careers sites, classified from their own text.

### Which analyst roles say they sponsor most often?

By role family on 7 November 2026: Financial Analyst 0.0% of 777, Business Analyst 0.0% of 674, Data Analyst 0.0% of 535, Operations Analyst 0.0% of 235. The full table is on this page.

### How is a posting classified?

From its own text. A clear statement that the employer will not sponsor, or that candidates must not need sponsorship now or in the future, is a no. An explicit offer to sponsor or consider sponsoring is a yes. Anything else counts as says nothing.
