What you will be doing

In this role, you will be part of a small but growing team of nine international colleagues based in Denmark, Germany, Singapore and the US, who aim to empower Satair to make smarter, data-driven decisions fueled by customer and market insights—boosting our competitive edge and creating standout experiences for our customers. We work together to enable our global Commercial teams to take data-driven decisions by providing insights and analyses from data.
The position is located in Singapore.
In your position as Graduate Business Analyst (Commercial) you will be required to:
• Develop and maintain databases, including data model design, data collection and data cleaning
• Transform internal, external data and business problems, into easy-to-understand insights and visualization to drive business and operational performance
• Apply basic coding to merge, compare, analyze data sets
• Identify and interpret patterns and trends in data sets, providing analytical support and insights to the commercial team.
• Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities that can be addressed through data analytics and automation
• Support the development of digital tools, automation and dashboards to support decision making, corporate presentations, etc
• Process and transform complex, high-volume data from multiple sources
• Prepare business and pipeline reports for team and management meetings
• Provide required analytical support & insights to the global Commercial teams
• Other administrative tasks as may be required
• Other duties reasonably determined from time to time by the Company
• Contribute to become the Centre of Excellence for all required commercial analytical requirements and drive further development & automation of the same
Secondary responsibilities:
• Comply with Material Services’ mission, values and Quality Management procedures
• Maintain dialogue and work closely with other functions including Commercial & Support, Product Management and Operations teams to understand the business as well as developments and trends in the market

• Quality of data analysis and reports provided
• Timely submission of deliverables
What are we looking for
To be a successful applicant, you will need to demonstrate you have:
• A degree level or equivalent within Data science, Mathematics, Computer science, or a related field
• Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of Business analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
• A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
• The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
Other desirable experiences and behaviours are:
• Knowledge of VBA, Python and other programming language / coding preferred
• Keen to learn to operate, extract and analyze data from business tools, such as but not limited to CRM and Business Intelligence software
• Strong analytical capability with ability to deliver data analysis that drives decision making
• Have an inter-cultural understanding
• Must work effectively with others in a team environment as well as work independently with little supervision, depending on the task at hand
