Associate Data Analyst

Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales and services priorities and works with sales and services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales and services teams, which drive approximately $5.3B in Contract Value (CV). You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support global sales and services teams comprised of nearly 9,000 associates who sell to and service every major function across the enterprise. About this role: The Associate Data Analyst is part of the GSSO’s Process and Program Analytics team. The team innovates the way the Sales and Services teams help clients receive value and enables smarter decision making by functional leaders who are our clients. This role supports cross-functional efforts to proactively uncover new ideas, opportunities, and strategies on the way we function as a Global Sales and Services Operations organization to drive higher client retention. You will have access to large and complex data sets that will enable you to develop and support analyses that solve business problems and improve existing processes using different tools. You will collaborate within and across teams to support ongoing initiatives, create scalable solutions, and provide analytical insights that contribute to continuous improvement in client retention and Sales & Service team productivity. What you’ll do: • Support senior stakeholders and project leads in defining problem statements, gathering initial scope, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to help problem-solve and drive execution • Contribute to end-to-end cross-functional projects that support strategic priorities across Gartner, including: • Initial data exploration and analysis to support solution framing • Supporting the design and execution of pilots with smaller groups as needed • Helping gather relevant inputs through interviews or focus group discussions • Synthesizing learnings and supporting the design of scale-up solutions • Create/maintain reporting dashboards that will be leveraged by various business and operations teams for deriving key insights and analyzing metrics • Provide consistent, timely, recurring reporting and analysis to support strategic decision making • Solve problems with structured/unstructured quantitative and qualitative data and derive key insights that are top priorities for improving Sales & Service performance and client retention • Create, compile, and analyze ideas for service improvement, evaluating them based on customer, financial, Service associate, and competitive considerations, depending on the nature of the project • Collaborate with stakeholders across Strategy & Operations, Services & Delivery, Sales, Product, and Research & Advisory teams to help bring solutions to our service and delivery teams in a coordinated way What you’ll need: • 1-2 years of experience, ideally with a focus on Business/Data Analytics • Bachelor’s Degree required, preference for graduation in Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, combined with strong attention to detail • Exceptional analytical skills, with demonstrable experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL, and PowerBI • Demonstrable experience in creating/maintaining visualization dashboards to represent key business metrics • Exposure to Python and/or Databricks for advanced data engineering and analytics will be a plus • Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand key requirements and break them down into data problems • Quantitative and qualitative problem-solving experience • Strong ownership, project management, and organizational skills with a focus on results and timelines • Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment • Experience and flexibility working in a global set-up is a plus What you will get : • Competitive salary, generous paid time off policy, charity match program, Group Medical Insurance, Parental Leave, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and more! • Collaborative, team-oriented culture that embraces diversity • Professional development and unlimited growth opportunities #LI-MP4 #GSSO Who are we?
