Role Summary and Impact
As a Manager, Business Intelligence , you will be a key partner to the Business Intelligence, Investment, Planning, Media, and Data Operations teams. You will help improve marketing efficiency by leading the development, maintenance, and delivery of accurate reporting products, dashboards, campaign measurement frameworks, and data-driven insights.
This is an individual contributor role with cross-functional leadership responsibilities and no direct reports . You will coordinate reporting workstreams, promote accountability across teams, and provide guidance to junior, senior, and offshore analysts when needed.
Key responsibilities include:
•
Lead the development and deployment of WPP Media reporting products and services across Excel, PowerPoint, and web-based dashboard environments.
•
Extract data from multiple media platforms and perform data hygiene, validation, and quality control using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and Looker , in partnership with Data Operations.
•
Develop and maintain campaign measurement frameworks , including KPI alignment and performance benchmarks.
•
Own the development, maintenance, and enhancement of dashboards and data visualizations , ensuring their accuracy, functionality, and timely delivery.
•
Perform rigorous daily and weekly data QA , investigating discrepancies and protecting the integrity of reporting deliverables.
•
Create, populate, and format recurring monthly, quarterly, and campaign wrap reports, identifying and correcting naming, mapping, and data-quality issues.
•
Ensure that reported data and insights accurately represent digital media campaign performance .
•
Manage reporting playbooks, operational calendars, milestones, risks, and dependencies across participating teams.
•
Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Investment, and Data Operations teams to integrate new data sources and reporting requirements , including parsing, benchmarking, and mapping.
•
Conduct troubleshooting and root-cause analysis and coordinate the implementation of effective data and reporting fixes.
•
Support the collection and validation of partner-provided performance data .
•
Maintain complete and current documentation of data processes, procedures, business logic, and workflow changes.
•
Research platform capabilities and recommend improvements to data quality, operational efficiency, and reporting feasibility .
•
Facilitate data and reporting architecture discussions to support the reliable deployment and availability of reporting products.
•
When required, support the design, deployment, and maintenance of ETL and data management processes , including exception handling, rollback procedures, production data loads, and reporting automation using SQL or Python .
•
Evaluate new vendors, technologies, and advertising opportunities relevant to reporting and analytics.
Skills and Experience
If this opportunity looks right for you, we are looking for candidates who have:
•
Approximately 5+ years of professional experience in analytics or Business Intelligence working with large datasets. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered, and the number of years may be flexible for candidates with strong technical and industry alignment.
•
Professional experience working within a marketing or media agency environment , including familiarity with agency tools, processes, and reporting requirements.
•
Hands-on experience using Power BI ; experience with Tableau or Looker is highly valued.
•
Familiarity with digital media and advertising technologies, including Google Campaign Manager, digital and social platforms, and web analytics tools .
•
Strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, data modeling, database design, ETL processes, data governance, and data-quality concepts .
•
Experience using SQL for data analysis, validation, reporting, or automation.
•
Experience using Python and/or R is a plus.
•
The ability to build dataflows or automate reporting processes using SQL or Python is highly valued.
•
Basic familiarity with cloud and data platforms , including Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or AWS.
•
Exposure to GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud SQL, or BigQuery is a plus.
•
Experience processing and cleansing data for AI or machine-learning applications is a plus.
•
Experience designing, testing, or refining prompt architectures for generative AI models is a plus.
•
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies and project management tools is a plus.
•
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across Business Intelligence, Media, Investment, Planning, and Data Operations teams.
•
Experience collaborating within an offshore/onshore operating model .
•
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.
•
Experience with tag management or application coding is a plus.
•
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics , or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
