This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Task & Process Mining Analyst based in India.
This is a remote contract opportunity for a senior-level analyst focused on using process intelligence to improve complex healthcare claims operations. You will combine business analysis, process mining, task mining, and automation expertise to uncover how claims workflows operate in practice and identify opportunities for measurable improvement. The role covers claims adjudication, denial management, prior authorization, revenue cycle activities, and payer-provider interactions. Using tools such as UiPath Process Mining and Task Mining, you will analyze event data and user activity to uncover bottlenecks, rework, process variants, and compliance deviations. You will translate these findings into prioritized, ROI-backed automation opportunities that RPA and technology teams can implement. Success will require strong healthcare domain knowledge, analytical thinking, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to connect process insights with business outcomes.
Accountabilities:
• Deploy and configure UiPath Process Mining to ingest event-log data from healthcare claims systems and reconstruct end-to-end process flows.
• Use Task Mining to capture desktop-level interactions across claims intake, validation, adjudication, remittance, denial management, and related workflows.
• Identify process variants, bottlenecks, rework loops, inefficiencies, and compliance deviations throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Build and maintain process mining dashboards and conformance-checking models to monitor process performance over time.
• Analyze healthcare claims workflows, including EDI 837/835 transactions, eligibility verification, prior authorization, claims submission, adjudication, remittance posting, denials, and appeals.
• Map payer-provider interactions and identify root causes of denials, delays, manual work, and operational inefficiencies.
• Quantify process volumes, cycle times, error rates, and manual effort to develop defensible ROI models and automation business cases.
• Collaborate with clinical, billing, operations, claims, and payer-relations teams to validate findings and prioritize improvement opportunities.
• Translate mining insights into structured automation candidates with defined scope, effort estimates, business value, and projected ROI.
• Develop Process Definition Documents (PDDs) and solution-design inputs for RPA development teams.
• Prioritize the automation pipeline based on transaction volume, complexity, compliance risk, and expected business impact.
• Partner with UiPath RPA developers and architects to support effective handoffs from process discovery through implementation.
• Present process mining findings, dashboards, and automation recommendations to healthcare operations leaders and IT stakeholders.
• Facilitate workshops with subject-matter experts and operational teams to validate current-state processes and help design future-state workflows.
• Support change management and process transformation activities during automation deployments.
• Establish process mining models and dashboards that enable business stakeholders to monitor performance and independently access key process insights.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in business analysis, process analysis, or a related discipline, including at least 2 years focused on healthcare claims operations.
• Hands-on experience with UiPath Process Mining and/or Task Mining, or equivalent platforms such as Celonis, Minit, or Fluxicon Disco.
• Deep understanding of the healthcare claims lifecycle, including EDI 837/835, eligibility, prior authorization, adjudication, denial management, remittance, and appeals.
• Experience working with healthcare claims platforms such as Epic Resolute HB/PB, Facets, TriZetto, Availity, or Change Healthcare.
• Strong proficiency in process mapping and visualization tools such as Visio or Lucidchart, along with experience analyzing event logs.
• Strong analytical capabilities with the ability to translate process data into ROI models, business cases, and actionable recommendations.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance requirements and appropriate handling of protected health information (PHI).
• Experience with RPA platforms, preferably UiPath, and a solid understanding of the automation development lifecycle.
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical findings and business cases to both operational and IT audiences.
• Excellent workshop facilitation, problem-solving, and requirements-gathering abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
• UiPath Process Mining or Task Mining certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
• Experience using SQL for event-log extraction and preparation is desirable.
• Familiarity with HL7, FHIR, and healthcare interoperability standards is beneficial.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enhanced process mining applications, including anomaly detection and predictive conformance, is a plus.
• PMP or Agile certification is advantageous.
