Learn more about: Customer Your work profile We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Associate to join the Market Security Services Operations team. This role is a critical component of the Bank's Client Onboarding, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets operations. You will be responsible for the accurate setup and validation of client accounts, Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI), trade settlement data, pricing records, and accounting validations. Your primary goal is to mitigate operational risk by ensuring that all settlement, trade, and payment data is verified, secure, and compliant with regulatory standards, thereby preventing fraudulent activity, settlement failures, and operational discrepancies across the Trade Life Cycle. • SSI Management & Validation: Review, verify, and implement Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs) provided by clients to ensure accurate routing of funds and securities. • Account Onboarding Support: Assist in the end-to-end setup of client accounts, ensuring all banking parameters and settlement details are accurately captured in the core banking systems. • Data Validation & Accuracy: Perform meticulous checks on incoming settlement instructions to ensure all account numbers, SWIFT codes, and routing instructions perfectly match the authorized client documentation. • Data Integrity & Maintenance: Maintain and update the central SSI database, ensuring all client settlement data is current and accurate to prevent settlement failures. • Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with Relationship Managers (Front Office), Compliance, and the Settlements team to resolve discrepancies in client documentation or settlement details. • Audit & Compliance: Ensure all onboarding activities adhere to the Bank’s internal control frameworks, KYC (Know Your Customer), and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) policies. Key skills required • Education: Any BBA or B.Com or MBA or M.Com or PGDM (Related to finance background) • Extreme Attention to Detail: The ability to spot minute discrepancies in complex financial data (account numbers, SWIFT codes, routing instructions, trade and settlement data) is mandatory. • Analytical Mindset: Strong capability to cross-reference documents and identify inconsistencies in client instructions, trade activities, and settlement details. • Risk Awareness: An understanding of the operational risks associated with financial transactions, Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Trade Settlement, and the importance of "Zero Error" processing. • Communication: Clear professional communication skills for interacting with internal stakeholders and reviewing client-provided documentation. • Knowledge of Trade Life Cycle, SSI, Accounting, Bookkeeping, Pricing, and Derivative Instruments within Capital Markets and Investment Banking operations will be preferred. • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data management) and the ability to quickly learn banking/settlement software.
