· Understand business problems, objectives, processes, data needs, and user outcomes; translate them into well-structured functional and non-functional requirements.
· Create and maintain business requirement documents, functional specifications, process flows, data flows, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, decision logs, and requirements traceability.
· Break down complex requirements into clear, prioritized, sprint-ready user stories that are understandable to both business and technical teams.
· Perform impact, dependency, feasibility, gap, and data analysis for new capabilities, enhancements, defects, and change requests.
· Lead requirement walkthroughs and clarify functional questions throughout design, development, testing, and implementation.
· Use SQL and other analysis techniques, where required, to validate data, investigate issues, support requirements, and confirm expected outcomes.
· Own functional quality for assigned initiatives, ensuring that delivered solutions remain aligned to approved business needs and acceptance criteria.
· Plan and support system testing, business validation, and user acceptance testing, including test scenarios, test data, defect triage, evidence, sign-off, and deployment of readiness.

· Track story progress, decisions, blockers, dependencies, risks, and actions; proactively coordinate resolution and escalate matters that may affect delivery.
· Protect requirement clarity during the sprint by managing questions and controlled changes without introducing avoidable disruption or scope ambiguity.
· Coordinate business participation in sprint reviews and demonstrations, capture feedback, and convert agreed feedback into prioritized backlog items.
· Use delivery measures and team feedback to identify opportunities to improve requirement quality, flow, predictability, and ways of working.
· Promote Scrum principles of transparency, inspection, adaptation, accountability, and continuous improvement while remaining practical and outcome focused.
· Where a dedicated Scrum Master is not assigned, provide day-to-day Scrum coordination for the project while continuing to own BSA responsibilities. This role supports team effectiveness and does not replace people management responsibilities.
Independent Project Ownership
· Take end-to-end functional ownership of small to medium initiatives, or a clearly defined workstream within a larger programme, with limited supervision.
· Build and maintain a delivery view covering scope, milestones, backlog readiness, dependencies, risks, decisions, testing, stakeholder actions, and implementation readiness.
· Coordinate across globally distributed and matrixed teams, ensuring that the right stakeholders are engaged at the right stage.
· Identify ambiguity early, present options and recommendations, drive timely decisions, and document agreed outcomes.
· Balance business value, user needs, data availability, technical feasibility, quality, and delivery timelines when recommending an approach.
· Provide concise, fact-based status updates to project leadership and stakeholders, including progress, risks, decisions required, and proposed next steps.
· Contribute reusable templates, standards, frameworks, and lessons learned to strengthen Business Analysis and Agile delivery practices.
