POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Analyst II is responsible for analyzing business operations, processes, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost optimization, and continuous improvement. This role partners with cross-functional stakeholders to develop actionable insights, support strategic initiatives, and implement policies, systems, digital tools, and process enhancements that drive operational excellence. The position also plays a key role in supporting innovation, automation, and AI-driven transformation initiatives, helping the organization leverage technology to streamline workflows, improve decision-making, and enhance overall business performance.
Job Responsibilities
• Conduct operational, business, financial, and cost analyses; develop and present management reports, dashboards, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Prepare analyses, reports, and documentation to ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, governance requirements, and internal controls.
• Evaluate and map business processes, identifying opportunities for optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement through digital solutions and process enhancements.
• Research, assess, and recommend current and emerging technologies, systems, and digital tools that support business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
• Coordinate departmental procurement activities by partnering with vendors, internal stakeholders, and Procurement teams while ensuring adherence to established company policies and guidelines.
• Support the management, organization, and control of contractual documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper record retention.
• Assist in the development, tracking, and reporting of the department’s Annual Action Plan, strategic initiatives, and budget performance.
• Support billing, invoicing, payment processing, and related financial controls to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company requirements.
• Partner with department leadership and cross-functional teams to support innovation, automation, digital transformation, and AI platform initiatives by identifying opportunities, improving processes, and facilitating the adoption of technology-driven solutions that enhance productivity and business performance.
• Provide analytical, operational, and administrative support for special projects, strategic initiatives, and other ad hoc requests assigned.
• Develop business cases, performance metrics, and data-driven insights to support departmental objectives, investment decisions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education:
• Bachelor's Degree with a major in Business, Accounting, Finance or related area required.
Experience:
• Generally, 2-4 years of business analyst, cost accounting or financial analysis experience required.
• Experience in performing general administrative support activities
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Knowledge of cost and financial accounting principles, practices and procedures.
• Strong Knowledge of O365 suite, including PowerBI and Power Apps, AI Platforms
• Knowledge on creating/maintain dashboards and reports through PowerBI
• Knowledge on develop automation using Power Platform products
• Knowledge on creating/maintain dashboards and reports within Salesforce
• Demonstrates teamwork abilities, possess strong initiative and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a fast-paced team environment with on-the-job training
• Excellent time management, planning skills and attention to details
Working Conditions / Environment/ Special Requirements:
• Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours if required.
