Job Description: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES CUSTOMER • Develop analyses that identify emerging trends, explain business performance and identify areas of opportunity. • Produce insights and recommend business actions to support business strategy and/or solve business problems. • Work in partnership with various functional areas to provide day-to-day support and delivery of analytics. • Support the development of automation, advanced analytics and AI-enabled solutions that improve business visibility and insight generation. • Apply understanding of respective business knowledge and strategies to produce relevant and meaningful analysis and materials to support the creation and maturation of business goals and objectives. • Investigate business questions and emerging issues through timely analysis and insights. • Represent functional area as an analytics & insights professional and key resource. • Act as a bridge to translate business requirements to analytics and reporting needs for a given domain while leveraging tools/ techniques/ methods that can be easily interpreted by the target audience. • Provides day-to-day support and delivery of analytics insights and collateral. • Develop and maintain key performance indicators used to proactively monitor business performance. SHAREHOLDER • Provide suggestions, ideas, and opportunities to support business needs. • Identify opportunities for business/revenue growth and/or efficiencies for an assigned business or function. • Identify and investigate data/analytics related issues. • Ensure data analysis and insights are reviewed to validate accuracy and minimize any potential errors. • Develop analytical solutions that improve visibility into business performance and reduce the need for recurring deep-dive analyses. • May be required to educate/train business users on how to integrate analytics into decisions. • Provide recommendations on financial / monetization goals to deliver on (e.g. quantify functional value, cost savings and revenue generated etc.) • Build business requirements and facilitate project execution to develop insights. • Utilize quantitative and qualitative methodologies to interpret and present data effectively and clearly. • Be knowledgeable of practices and procedures within own area of responsibility and keep abreast of emerging trends for own functional area. • Protect the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard, high-risk activities as necessary. • Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development / delivery of presentations / communications to management or broader audience. • Adhere to internal policies/procedures and applicable regulatory guidelines. • Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements and assess potential impacts. • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite. • May lead work streams by acting as a project lead / subject matter expert for small scale projects / initiatives in accordance with project management methodologies EMPLOYEE / TEAM • Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business, quality, innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest. • Provide thought leadership and/ or industry knowledge for own area of expertise in own area and participate in knowledge transfer within the team and business unit. • Keep current on emerging trends/ developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools and techniques. • Participate in personal performance management and development activities, including cross training within own team. • Keep others informed and up to date about the status / progress of projects and / or all relevant or useful information related to day-to-day activities. • Contribute to team development of skills and capabilities through mentorship of others, by sharing knowledge and experiences and leveraging best practices. • Lead, motivate and develop relationships with internal and external business partners / stakeholders to develop productive working relationships. • Contribute to a fair, positive and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce. • Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank, both internally and/or externally BREADTH & DEPTH • Work independently as a senior analyst / subject matter expert and may coach and educate others. • Considered a subject matter expert within a given area. • Oversee and/or independently perform tasks from end to end. • Focus on short-to-medium-term issues (e.g. monthly-quarterly) • Generally, reports to a Senior / Manager role. EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION • Undergraduate degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or another quantitative field. • 5+ years of relevant experience in analytics, business intelligence, performance measurement or related fields. • Strong SQL and analytical programming skills (e
