Commercial Business Analyst

Overview This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will be 4 days inside our Jacksonville FL or Portsmouth NH offices and 1 day remotely. We are looking for candidates who are within a commutable/drivable distance to our Jacksonville, FL or Portsmouth, NH offices. First Citizens Equipment Finance is a full-service, vendor-centric lending/leasing business unit. FCB EF provides a wide array of lending and leasing products/solutions to customers ranging in size from small/medium businesses to enterprise entities through its affiliation/alignment with OEM equipment vendors, their distributors, resellers, and dealers. This position investigates business questions, validates data, maintains reporting accuracy, and supports a single source of truth for key business metrics. You will work closely with operational leaders, department analysts, and BI partners to understand business needs, define metrics, and ensure reporting accurately reflects business performance. Responsibilities & Qualifications Duties & Responsibilities: • Investigate reporting discrepancies and perform root cause analysis. • Validate data, metrics, and report output to ensure accuracy and consistency. • Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives and define reporting requirements. • Collaborate with BI teams to translate business needs into clear and actionable specifications. • Document business logic, metric definitions, and reporting standards. • Support data quality and governance initiatives that enhance confidence in organizational reporting. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of experience in Sales Support or Analytics -OR- High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 5 years of experience in Sales Support or Analytics Required Qualifications • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required, high degree of competency in Excel • Experience working with data analysis, reporting, or business operations. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Strong skills in written and oral communications Preferred Qualifications • Proficiency in SQL coding, Sales Force reporting, Power BI, or other analytical tools such as R and Python.
