Job Purpose:
This role is accountable for building and running Castrol’s global supply chain analytics capability while serving as the Senior SME for Order to Delivery process development. The position drives standardized process + data + insights outcomes across markets, enabling improved customer service, order reliability, inventory health, and working capital performance. It also ensures robust end-to-end supply chain process design, governance, and continuous improvement, with close collaboration across regional process experts, IT, and business teams.
Key Accountabilities:
A) Order to Delivery, SAP Process Development – lead a team of experts motivating change, standardization and automation of process.
a. Process Transformation & Standardization (Main Focus)
• Drive end-to-end supply chain process improvement (Order to delivery, logistics, customer service domains).
• Lead standardization and automation initiatives across region within order to delivery process.
• Act as senior expert for Order to delivery covering order management, order to delivery process involving transportation, handling, storage and dispatch process, including process and systems.
• Identify and eliminate process inefficiencies and fragmentation across markets.
• Ensure alignment with regional and country teams and handle solution delivery for different operating models.
• Leverage system and tools as an enabler of business process transformation.
• Partner with technical delivery teams (e.g. IT service providers) for implementation, ensure scalable and standardized process frameworks.
• Drive process digitization, system enhancements, workflows, and integrations.
b. End-to-End O2D Process Development & Multi-functional Orchestration
• Own & drive design & continuous improvement of end-to-end O2D processes
• Ensure alignment of processes with system capabilities and constraints with customers
• Orchestrate delivery across multiple customers:
• Customer service / order management teams
• Logistics & distribution teams
• Digital / IT / SAP teams / External partners (Technology solution service providers)
• Act as a link between business and IT, translating operational needs into system solutions.
• Govern and guide deployments, sprint activity and change request process.
• Lead team of process experts under order to delivery process focussed on country-specific compliance requirements.
c. Regional Ownership & Working with Customers in regions.
• Lead region-specific initiatives (e.g., Europe) O2D solution, ensuring:
• Fit-for-purpose design aligned with market realities
• Drive value-based backlog of change initiatives.
• Drive regional change initiatives, align with global teams, secure funding for change initiatives.
• Responsible for the team's backlog / pipeline of future initiatives, handle the digital funding and Financial Memorandum processes to ensure IT costs are handled and budgeted.
• Drive consistent Agile ways of working through standardized documentation, sprint planning, backlog management, configuration governance, training materials, release management, and continuous improvement delivered via iterative Scrum sprints.
d. Promote Continuous Improvement
• Provide thought leadership on use-cases and modelling approaches
• Sponsor development of decision-support tools, dashboards, and models
• Govern analytics backlog aligned to business value
• Promote greater end-to-end process and system understanding among customers end users.
B) Data Analytics & Supply Chain Insights
a. Build & lead the global analytics operating model
• Lead team of data analysts/engineers/BI developers across Planning, Product Portfolio & Delivery, Customer Fulfillment, and Process Development.
• Define the analytics service catalog (dashboards, self-serve datasets, advanced analytics, insights packs) and ensure SLAs, cadence, and quality.
• Establish a scalable governance model (demand intake, prioritization, sprint planning, release management, benefits tracking).
b. Deliver global analytics products & insights, enable, orchestrate multi-disciplinary Supply Chain insights with the help of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning tools.
• Own global data products aligned to supply chain and customer outcomes, e.g.:
• Order fill & OTIF (by customer/market/channel)
• Backorder root-cause, ATP/CTP insights
• Inventory visibility (safety stock, slow/obsolete, E2E days of inventory)
• Demand-supply match and forecast bias drivers
• Customer service performance and order reliability
• Portfolio complexity impact (SKU rationalization, NPI ramp stability)
• Translate business questions into analytics hypotheses, build models, and convert output into practical actions with decision pathways.
