Job Title: Operations Analyst Job Category: Intelligence Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Local * * * The Opportunity: The Staff Operations Analyst provides operational planning, coordination, and staff support to the JIATF 401 J3 Operations Directorate, supporting both Current Operations (CUOPS) and Future Operations (FUOPS) activities. The position supports the J3 in maintaining operational awareness, synchronizing ongoing and emerging Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) activities, and integrating operational requirements across JIATF 401 directorates, mission partners, and external stakeholders. The Staff Operations Analyst should have prior experience working within a military, joint, interagency, or large organizational staff environment and possess a strong understanding of operational planning, staff processes, battle rhythm management, and the coordination of multiple lines of effort. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can rapidly change and will be capable of developing clear, concise, and actionable products for senior leaders and operational decision-makers. Responsibilities: • Provide direct staff support to the JIATF 401 J3 Operations Directorate across CUOPS and FUOPS functions. • Monitor ongoing operations, activities, taskers, and operational requirements to maintain situational awareness across the JIATF. • Support the J3 in synchronizing current and future operational activities across JIATF 401 directorates, mission partners, and external organizations. • Maintain awareness of operational priorities, emerging requirements, significant events, and issues requiring J3 or senior-leader attention. • Develop and maintain operational trackers, synchronization matrices, battle rhythm products, task management tools, and other staff-management products. • Support the development and execution of J3 battle rhythm events, operational update briefs, working groups, synchronization meetings, and planning sessions. • Prepare staff products, executive-level briefs, information papers, decision-support materials, read-aheads, and other products in support of J3 operations. • Assist with the development, staffing, coordination, and tracking of operational plans, concepts, orders, fragmentary orders, taskers, and other operational documentation. • Support FUOPS planning by identifying emerging operational requirements, anticipated events, resource considerations, decision points, and dependencies. • Support CUOPS execution by tracking ongoing activities, identifying operational gaps or conflicts, and coordinating actions across appropriate JIATF elements. • Coordinate with J2, J3, J5, J6, J7, Acquisition, DART, S&T, and other JIATF 401 organizations to synchronize operational activities and resolve cross-functional issues. • Support the integration of C-UAS operational requirements, activities, exercises, testing, demonstrations, assessments, and mission partner engagements into JIATF operational planning. • Receive, analyze, and coordinate higher-headquarters and senior-leader taskers, ensuring appropriate assignment, suspense tracking, staffing, and completion. • Maintain operational continuity by documenting decisions, actions, taskers, and outstanding issues across staff activities. • Identify emerging issues and provide recommendations for appropriate staff coordination, escalation, or resolution. • Support the preparation and execution of senior-leader engagements, operational briefings, and decision forums. • Participate in operational planning teams, working groups, and cross-functional synchronization events on behalf of the J3. • Develop and maintain processes that improve operational information flow, staff synchronization, and visibility across the JIATF. • Conduct research and analysis on operational issues and provide concise findings to J3 leadership. • Perform other operational planning and staff-support duties as required. Qualifications: Required: • Active TS//SCI Security Clearance. • Requires completion of formal military intelligence school or IC equivalent school/training. • BA/BS and 4+ years of experience; AA/AS with 8+ years; HS/GED with 10+ years of recent specialized experience. • Demonstrated understanding of threat device engineering and function. • Expert understanding of C-UAS layered defense. • Proven ability to integrate UAS and C-UAS TTPs into operational and intelligence planning. • The ability to identify UAS to provide analysis to identify trends on target devices and TTPs. • Possess strong research, analytical, and writing skills as well as briefing skills to include the ability to clearly articulate information to different audiences. • Ability to generate/provide specialized analytical and technical products. • Proficient in utilizing specialized tools to create final products. Desired: • Experience supporting Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, JTF, or interagency operations . • Experience supporting C-UAS , air defense, aviation, UAS, force protection, or related operational missions. • Experience with operational planning processes and development of orders, plans, FRAGOs, CONOPs, and decision-support products. • Experience supporting a J3, Operations Directorate, Current Operations section, Future Operations section, or similar organization. • Experience working within a Joint Operations Center (JOC), Command Operations Center (COC), or equivalent operational environment . • Experience coordinating across multiple military Services, federal agencies, industry partners, or other mission stakeholders. • Familiarity with operational command-and-control systems, collaboration platforms, data visualization tools, and staff-management applications. • Previous experience supporting senior military or government leader
