Your Role As a Junior Power BI Developer at Capgemini , you will support the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence solutions that empower stakeholders to make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with business users, analysts, and data engineering teams to develop reports, dashboards, and data models that provide actionable insights across the organization. Responsibilities & Scope Business Intelligence & Reporting • Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards . • Create interactive visualizations and KPI dashboards that support business reporting needs. • Transform business requirements into meaningful reports and analytical solutions. • Assist in the design and implementation of self-service reporting capabilities. Data Modeling & Analytics • Develop and maintain Power BI data models using industry best practices. • Create and optimize calculations, measures, and KPIs using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) . • Connect and integrate data from multiple sources, including: • SQL Databases • Excel Files • SharePoint • Cloud-Based Data Sources • Support data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance activities. Report Development & Optimization • Troubleshoot reporting issues and perform root-cause analysis. • Optimize dashboard performance and improve report usability. • Assist with testing and validation activities to ensure report accuracy and reliability. • Support report deployment and user acceptance testing (UAT). Collaboration & Documentation • Gather and document reporting requirements from business stakeholders. • Collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and business users to deliver analytics solutions. • Create and maintain technical and functional documentation for dashboards, reports, and data sources. • Provide end-user support and basic training for Power BI reports and reporting tools. Qualifications & Preferred Skills Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s Degree in: • Computer Science • Information Systems • Business Analytics • Data Analytics • Engineering • Or a related field • 0-2 years of experience in: • Power BI Development • Reporting • Business Intelligence • Data Analytics Required Skills Power BI & Reporting • Experience creating Power BI dashboards and reports. • Understanding of data visualization principles and reporting best practices. • Ability to create meaningful KPIs and business-focused visualizations. Data Modeling & SQL • Basic understanding of relational database concepts. • Knowledge of data modeling principles. • Experience using SQL for querying and analyzing data. • Basic knowledge of DAX (Data Analysis Expressions). Data Analysis • Experience working with datasets and performing basic data validation. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Microsoft Tools • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. • Experience working with data within Microsoft business applications. Communication & Collaboration • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. • Ability to gather and understand reporting requirements from business stakeholders. Preferred Skills • Experience with Power Query (M Language) . • Familiarity with: • Microsoft Fabric • Azure Data Services • Power Platform • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data warehousing concepts. • Exposure to Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies. • Basic knowledge of: • Python • PowerShell • Other scripting languages • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) certification or willingness to obtain certification.
