Role Overview: The Senior People Technology Analyst is responsible for leading the design, configuration, and continuous evolution of Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) capabilities as part of SIE’s global People Technology platform. This role serves as a senior technical leader and functional expert within People Technology Services (PTS), with senior ownership within the Workday Core HCM domain. This role is responsible for system configuration, business process optimization, security administration, custom reporting, and end-user support. Works closely with HR leadership, Payroll, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, streamline employee lifecycle workflows, and maximize the value of the organization’s Workday platform. The role is accountable for ensuring that core HCM solutions are scalable, precise, and aligned with global business requirements, while also contributing to broader Workday platform design and delivery. The role works closely with Human Resources stakeholders to translate policy, regulatory requirements, and business processes into scalable, system-driven solutions. Operating within a globally consistent Agile delivery model, this role balances deep domain expertise with cross-platform contribution. The role partners with Product, Integration, Data, and Architecture stakeholders to deliver cohesive, end-to-end solutions and to establish sustainable configuration patterns across the platform. This role is suited for individuals who combine deep expertise in Workday HCM with strong systems thinking, technical leadership, and the ability to influence design decisions across a global platform. What you'll be doing: Domain Ownership & Platform Leadership (Core HCM) • Serve as a senior functional and technical lead for the Workday Core HCM domain, leading complex configuration design, system enhancements, and ongoing platform evolution. • Lead the design and implementation of complex Core HCM solutions in partnership with Human Resources stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business requirements, global standards, regulatory requirements, and operational needs: • Configure and maintain core Workday HCM components, including supervisory organizations, job families, positions, location hierarchies, and worker profiles. • Design, build, and optimize Workday Business Processes (BPs) (e.g., Hire, Transfer, Promote, Terminate, Job Change) using condition rules and validation logic. • Manage domain and business process security policies, ensuring appropriate role-based access control and data privacy compliance. • Define and enforce configuration design patterns that ensure scalability, reusability, and maintainability • Serve as a key technical authority for Core HCM design decisions, guiding trade-offs between business requirements, system capabilities, and long-term platform sustainability. • Ensure alignment of HCM and core configurations with global policies, regulatory requirements, and downstream dependencies (e.g., payroll) Solution Design & Delivery Leadership • Engage with Human Resources stakeholders to clarify requirements, challenge assumptions, and guide toward scalable, platform-aligned solutions • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Workday HCM related initiatives, including design, build, testing, and deployment readiness • Translate complex business rules, policies, and regulatory requirements into structured, scalable system configurations • Provide technical leadership across workstreams, ensuring consistency and quality of solutions delivered by the team • Support and guide analysts in solution design and configuration, ensuring alignment with platform standards Platform Engineering & Cross-Domain Contribution • Contribute to broader Workday platform design and configuration across additional domains (e.g., Absence & Leave, Compensation, Talent, Performance) • Collaborate with Integration and Data specialists to ensure end-to-end solution integrity • Participate in platform-level design discussions, influencing architecture, standards, and ways of working • Ensure solutions integrate effectively with upstream and downstream systems Data, Reporting & Downstream Integrity • Design and oversee reporting solutions and calculated fields supporting core HCM and related processes • Ensure Workday HCM core data supports HR reporting, compliance, and downstream processes (e.g., payroll and analytics) • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across Workday configurations and downstream consumers Platform Reliability & Continuous Improvement • Ensure reliability and stability of business processes through proactive issue identification and root cause resolution • Identify systemic issues and drive structural improvements to platform design and configuration practices • Lead initiatives to simplify, standardize, and continuously improve Core HCM configurations, business processes, and data structures. • Contribute to evolving platform standards, governance models, and configuration frameworks Governance, Compliance & Standards • Ensure adherence to global PTS design standards, governance practices, and engineering principles • Ensure core HCM configurations meet data privacy, security, and audit r
