Sr Snowflake DBT Engineer

Job Description: Sr Data Engineer (Snowflake + dbt ) Experience Required 8+ Years Location Dallas Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake & dbt Engineer with 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Cloud Data Warehousing, and Analytics Engineering. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt (Data Build Tool), SQL, ETL/ELT development, and Azure cloud platform . The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and modern data warehouse solutions to support enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions using Snowflake and dbt . • Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load large-scale data from multiple sources. • Develop reusable and modular dbt models, macros, tests, snapshots, and documentation. • Implement dimensional data models including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema for reporting and analytics. • Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering, partitioning, and warehouse sizing. • Design and implement data quality frameworks, monitoring, and automated validations using dbt. • Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Stakeholders, and Product teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions. • Develop CI/CD pipelines for dbt deployments and automate data workflows. • Ensure data governance, security, compliance, and best practices within Snowflake environments. • Troubleshoot data issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions. • Create technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and data lineage documentation. • Mentor junior data engineers and establish engineering standards and best practices. • Experience with orchestration tools such as: Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Understanding of data governance, security, metadata management, and data lineage. • Experience handling structured and semi-structured data (JSON, XML, Parquet, Avro).
