Study Grant Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Study Grant Analyst II based in India. As a Study Grant Analyst II, you will play a key role in developing accurate, competitive clinical study grants across Phases I–IV and a broad range of therapeutic areas. You will collaborate closely with proposal teams, site contracts leaders, study leaders, project directors, and clients to build effective budget strategies. The role combines financial analysis, clinical research knowledge, compliance, stakeholder management, and client advisory skills. You will contribute to both pre-award proposals and post-award budget activities while ensuring adherence to fair market value principles. You will also help identify process improvements, support training initiatives, and share expertise across the team. Accountabilities: • Prepare accurate and competitive clinical study grant estimates for Phases I–IV using appropriate clinical study pricing tools, including GrantPlan or similar platforms. • Collaborate with proposal teams to develop competitive budget concepts while ensuring alignment with RFP requirements and internal policies. • Act as a subject matter expert for the creation, revision, escalation, and approval of clinical study grants for awarded projects. • Partner with site contracts leaders, study project leaders, project directors, and other stakeholders on grant development and post-award analyses. • Participate in strategy sessions and budget reviews to identify client needs, assess market and competitor benchmarks, and support proposal strategies. • Ensure grant information and analyses comply with Fair Market Value principles and applicable healthcare compliance requirements, including the Physician Payments Sunshine Act, HIPAA, FCPA, and Safe Harbor guidance. • Maintain client-focused grant analyses, monitor performance, proactively identify issues, and support resolution activities. • Share knowledge, lessons learned, and new scenarios with colleagues while contributing to departmental training plans, content, and delivery. • Maintain knowledge of applicable ICH Guidelines, Good Clinical Practices, regulatory requirements, and relevant internal procedures. • Participate in system improvements, standards initiatives, committees, task forces, and change management activities. • Maintain agreed productivity and billability levels while completing administrative responsibilities such as timesheets, training, expenses, and travel requirements. • Promote a collaborative, results-oriented environment and contribute to continuous improvement based on client, team, and quality-audit feedback. Requirements • 3–5 years of professional experience in clinical site budget development or a similar role within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, managed care, or clinical research industry. • Hands-on experience with GrantPlan, Grant Manager, or comparable clinical study budgeting tools. • Experience using industry benchmarking databases and tools to support fair market value assessments and investigator grant development. • Degree-level education in biological sciences, pharmacy, another health-related discipline, or an equivalent nursing or relevant clinical qualification. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities, particularly when working through complex situations. • Excellent communication, negotiation, influencing, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills. • Strong client focus, with the ability to establish trust, provide informed guidance, and contribute to client decision-making. • Ability to work independently, assess organizational implications, resolve issues, and appropriately escalate matters when senior management involvement is required. • Familiarity with standard business and eClinical systems used within clinical research. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn and become proficient in additional systems. • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and enthusiasm. • Comfortable working effectively within a virtual, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team.
