This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Absence Analyst based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to support and enhance enterprise Workday HCM solutions within a global environment. You will work closely with HR, IT, business stakeholders, implementation partners, and vendors to translate business needs into effective Workday configurations. The position combines solution design, business analysis, configuration, testing, production support, and continuous improvement. You will have a strong focus on Workday Absence and Time Tracking while contributing to broader HCM processes and technology initiatives. The role also involves stabilizing solutions after implementations and major enhancements, ensuring reliable day-to-day operations. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex HCM challenges while helping improve processes, data quality, system reliability, and the overall employee experience.
Accountabilities:
• Configure, design, enhance, and support Workday HCM applications and business processes.
• Gather, analyze, and document requirements from HR and other functional stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and scalable Workday solutions.
• Analyze existing business processes, data, and technology to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Design and configure Workday solutions in alignment with business requirements, established standards, and technical best practices.
• Support Workday Absence and Time Tracking processes, configurations, and related enhancements.
• Collaborate with contractors, implementation partners, and third-party vendors to ensure high-quality project and enhancement delivery.
• Participate in solution design discussions, configuration reviews, testing, implementation, and release activities.
• Support system stabilization following implementations, major enhancements, and Workday releases.
• Provide ongoing production support, troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and coordinate appropriate resolutions.
• Analyze data and business processes to identify configuration issues, inconsistencies, and optimization opportunities.
• Support functional, regression, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Maintain accurate functional and technical documentation covering configurations, processes, enhancements, and support procedures.
• Manage multiple projects, enhancements, support activities, and competing priorities effectively.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, business teams, technical partners, and vendors throughout the solution lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, issues, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Workday processes, configurations, and support operations.
• Ensure solutions maintain appropriate standards for data quality, security, reliability, and business alignment.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience working with Workday HCM in configuration, solutioning, implementation, enhancement, or production support roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workday HCM configuration, administration, and ongoing support.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and effective Workday solutions.
• Strong analytical skills across business processes, data, technology, and system configurations.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Absence and Time Tracking is highly desirable.
• Experience supporting solution stabilization and ongoing production operations following implementations and major enhancements.
• Experience working with implementation partners, contractors, and third-party vendors.
• Strong understanding of HCM business processes and enterprise HR technology environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, enhancements, support activities, and priorities simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Experience working in a global organization with distributed stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Strong ownership mindset and proactive approach to identifying, investigating, and resolving issues.
• Ability to adapt to changing business requirements, evolving technology environments, and shifting priorities.
