Senior Data Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Analyst based in India. This role offers the opportunity to lead data analytics initiatives focused on oncology patient journeys, treatment pathways, and structured healthcare datasets. You will transform large and complex claims and patient-level data into insights that support strategic business and healthcare decisions. The position combines advanced SQL analysis, Python, Excel, visualization, and healthcare analytics across real-world data sources. You will investigate treatment patterns, utilization, line-of-therapy progression, and healthcare costs while supporting evidence-based decision-making. The role involves close collaboration with HEOR, market access, strategy, engineering, and other multidisciplinary teams. You will also communicate findings to stakeholders and help translate sophisticated analytics into clear, actionable business recommendations. Accountabilities: • Lead and execute analytics projects focused on oncology patient journeys, line-of-therapy mapping, and brand analytics. • Analyze structured healthcare datasets from sources such as DRG, IQVIA, McKesson, and Symphony claims. • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify treatment patterns, patient pathways, utilization trends, and relevant healthcare insights. • Support HEOR and healthcare resource utilization analyses, including prevalence, disease burden, incidence, and cost-of-illness studies. • Develop and present client-facing insights through dashboards, PowerPoint presentations, and visual analytics. • Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and data pipelines, using Excel and Python for analysis, automation, and efficiency improvements. • Collaborate with HEOR, market access, strategy, engineering, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, define analytical approaches, establish timelines, and deliver projects effectively. • Ensure data integrity, governance, documentation, and reproducibility across analytical projects. • Independently manage workload, communicate progress, identify risks or dependencies, and drive projects through to completion. • Translate complex analytical findings into clear business insights and recommendations for stakeholders. Requirements: • 5+ years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in relevant data analytics, healthcare analytics, or similar roles. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline. • Proven experience working with structured healthcare datasets, particularly DRG, Symphony, IQVIA, McKesson, or comparable sources. • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences consulting, healthcare analytics, or analytics agency environments. • Exposure to real-world evidence datasets, including EHR/EMR and CMS data. • Understanding of line-of-therapy frameworks, treatment guidelines, and market-access structures. • Working knowledge of data modeling and statistical techniques is preferred. • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is an advantage. • Client-facing experience and the ability to translate complex analytics into clear business insights is highly valued. • Experience in oncology, immunology, rare diseases, or other relevant therapy areas is a plus. • Experience conducting stakeholder workshops or developing interactive dashboards is beneficial. • Experience working with global teams and multi-geography datasets is preferred. • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills. • Ability to work independently, structure complex problems, manage priorities, and communicate analytical approaches and outcomes effectively. • Willingness to work remotely on a 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM IST schedule.
