What it does
It puts each clause on its own line, indents subqueries and CTEs, breaks a long SELECT list one column per line, and lines up JOIN conditions under their JOIN. Keyword casing is up to you.
What it will never do
Change your query. Formatting only moves whitespace: string literals, comments and quoted identifiers come back byte for byte, and a column named select_date or a string containing the word from is left alone. The tool checks its own output before showing it, and if reformatting would alter the query it hands your original back instead.
Is it really free?
Yes, and there is no account and no upload. The formatter is a few hundred lines of JavaScript running in your own browser, which is why a work query with real table names is safe to paste here.
