Where the entry-level roles actually are
Most analyst postings you see ask for experience — on this board, the large majority of India roles ask for two or more years. That doesn't mean there are no fresher roles; it means they are concentrated in a few channels.
- Graduate / campus programmes at global companies' India centres (banks, retailers, tech) — titles like Associate Analyst, Analyst I or Graduate Analyst.
- Analytics and data-science services firms, which hire freshers in cohorts and train them on client work.
- Internships at startups and product companies that convert to full-time offers — often the fastest route in.
- Roles titled Junior, Associate, Trainee or 'Analyst I', or those asking for 0–2 years — filter for these on the board.
What gets a fresher shortlisted
Recruiters screen analysts on proof, not claims. Two or three small projects on real datasets — a SQL analysis, a Power BI or Tableau dashboard, and a short write-up of what you found and why it matters — beat a long list of certificates. Put the links at the top of your resume.
