Where India's analyst hiring concentrates
Bengaluru is the deepest market — product companies, startups and the India centres of global tech and retail firms. Hyderabad and Pune follow, driven by large global capability centres (GCCs) in banking, healthcare and technology. Delhi NCR (Gurugram and Noida) is strong in consulting, e-commerce and fintech; Mumbai in banking and financial services; Chennai in analytics services and SaaS.
If you are open on location, applying across two cities plus remote-in-India roles widens your options far more than refreshing one city's list.
Who hires analysts in India
Four kinds of employer account for most analyst roles: India centres of global companies (banks, retailers, tech, healthcare), Indian product companies and startups, analytics and data-science services firms, and consulting and professional-services firms. Titles vary — Data Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, BI Analyst, MIS Analyst — so search more than one.
What the roles ask for
SQL is the one near-universal requirement, then Excel and a BI tool (Power BI or Tableau). Python appears on most data-analyst postings and far fewer business-analyst ones.
